Welcome to my website. Schopenhauer's wise words still hold true 150 years later: When health problems arise, they limit our everyday lives, and we want a good, pragmatic, and quick solution whenever possible. As surgeons, we are fortunate to often be able to offer concrete solutions through our craft.

I am a trained general and visceral surgeon (visceral = abdominal surgery) and offer consultations and treatments for common "general surgical" problems (hernias, gallbladders, anus diseases (proctology), etc.). I also specialize in diseases of the intestine (colon cancer, chronic inflammatory bowel disease, rectal cancer, rectal prolapse, etc.), a diverse field that has fascinated me for years. Whenever possible, I perform intestinal procedures using minimally invasive, robotic, or laparoscopic techniques. My colleagues in Bern and Lucerne are recognized specialists in other areas of visceral surgery (esophagus/stomach/pancreas/liver diseases, obesity surgery), and as a team, we treat the entire spectrum of abdominal surgery.
